12/08/2006 11:25 PM by name withheld; Symmetric step-function equilibria-Binary Public Goods | One kind of equilibrium is as following:
for all A less than or equal to k/2 Da(v)=Db(v)=0, if v<A and Da(v)=Db(v)=A if v is larger or equal to A
But Da=Db=K is always not an equilibrium since each donor has incentive to contribute nothing (please check by yourself). Further, you may check that for all A greater than k/2, the above strategy profile is not an equilibrium. Note, only the equilibrium at A=k/2 is meaningful. All other symmetric equilibria are trivial, no public goods provided. [Manage messages]

2 Donors, A and B are considering to contribute to a public good, organized by a collector C. A and B attach values Va and Vb, respectively to the good. Values are private and independent [View full text and thread]
