Respond to the question: Solution with weaklydominated strategie?

01/25/2006 07:04 PM by Darryl Seale; Solution with weakly-dominated strategies
I submitted the following matrix to the zero-sum game solver:

0 ,-0.6666667 ,-0.6666667 , 0 , 0 , 0.6666667 , 0.6666667
0.6666667 , 0 ,-0.3333333 , 0 , 0.3333333 , 0.6666667 , 1
0.3333333 , 0.3333333 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0 , 0.3333333
-1 ,-0.3333333 , 0 , 0 ,-0.6666667 ,-0.6666667 ,-1

It reported the optimal solution for the colum player was:

0, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0

meaning the strategy "forth-from-the-left" is optimal. Note, however, that strategy "third-from-the-left" weakly dominates "forth-from-the-left" for the column player. What's going on here?
