I wrote a little allegory which is about how the prisoner's dilemma applies to a certain situation, and how things might be "fixed". It is at http://karmatics.com/dispute-parable/dispute.html

The "punch line"....where you find out what I'm really getting at, is at the very end. If you are impatient, you can jump right to it, but I suggest reading it from start to finish instead.
