Ask a question about: Zero Sum Games
Respond to the question: Distribution in repeated zero sum games?

07/27/2001 01:41 PM by Rajeev Kohli; Distribution in repeated zero sum games
In his 1961 Presidential address, M.G. Kendall says "consider, for example, a number of persons with equal stakes playing a fair zero-sum game. Over a period of play, the distribution of their holdings will tend to an unequal pattern of the Pareto type" (i.e., a Pareto or power distribution). Does anyone know of work that shows this result (could be old; Kendall's paper in JRSS is from 1961). [Manage messages]
